Reiki is a compound Japanese word pronounced RAY-kee. The first word, "rei", means universal spirit. The second word, "ki", means life force or energy. The two words together refer to the intelligent action of universal spirit flowing as a balancer and expander of life force or energy.
Reiki is a hands-on technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It was discovered by Mikao Usui in the early 1900's. There are thousands of Reiki practitioners around the world using Reiki for self-healing, for hands-on healing of others, and for the healing of others at a distance. Reiki is used in hospitals to facilitate the healing process of patients.
Reiki technique is taught in three levels, which are detailed in the Answers to FAQs below.

"In my three weeks with Zing, I found a refreshing new view of myself and the Luberon Valley of Provence. Zing's knowledge of the area is extensive. Visits to nearby villages made each day a new adventure, from leisurely strolls through narrow side streets to exhilarating climbs up trails to see vistas beyond compare. My favorite experiences have been the village festivals and the markets.
"Zing's metaphysical acumen adds more to the experience. Every day brings a new point of self-reflection to consider. I was, at first, leery of the practice: no one wants to look at himself 'naked' in a mirror. But Zing encouraged me to look at the reflection of my own 'mind' in the mirror. She was enthusiastic about getting to know one's true self. After a while, I looked forward to the next exercise.
"A totally enriching experience. I highly recommend it!"
